A Round-Up From Our Blog Roll
If it has been awhile since you’ve checked out our blog roll, you should scroll over to the right-hand column. There are some great blogs on the list – including those run by Pioneer grantees. Some thoughtful highlights from this week:
- We’ve discussed innovative ideas on how to cut health care costs before on Pioneering Ideas, including a recent post on reducing hospital acquired infections. George Lundberg has a post up at The Health Care Blog about How to Rein in Medical Costs, RIGHT NOW. Check it out and let us know what you think.
- Speaking of Innovation, Guy Kawasaki has a post up Why You Need Empathy to Be an Innovator, which links from his blog, How to Change the World, to a post at the American Express Open Forum by Matthew May. The article touches on why customer-centric design is so critical. Do you need empathy to be an innovator? It’s a great question and one that is particularly relevant to innovation in health and health care.
- Triaging patients in their cars during an epidemic? Now there is an idea. Bradley Kreit talks about the recent simulated test at Stanford in his Drive-Through Medicine post on the Institute for the Future’s Blog.
And don’t forget to follow Pioneer on Twitter if you aren’t already.
